Booking a Clean

How do I book a clean?
You can book a clean by getting in touch with us directly via our contact form, phone, or email. We'll discuss your requirements, preferred frequency, and arrange a time that suits you. We'll confirm everything in writing before your first clean.
Can I book a one-off clean or does it have to be regular?
Both options are available. We offer one-off cleans as well as regular weekly, fortnightly, or monthly arrangements. If you're unsure which is right for you, just get in touch and we'll help you figure out the best fit.
How much notice do you need to book?
We recommend giving us at least 48 hours notice where possible, though we'll always do our best to accommodate last-minute requests depending on availability. Get in touch and we'll let you know what we can do.
Can I request the same cleaner every time?
Yes, wherever possible we'll assign you a consistent member of the Lumex team so they become familiar with your space and preferences. In the event of holidays or illness, we'll arrange a suitable cover and let you know in advance.

Managing Your Clean

How do I reschedule or cancel a clean?
Just give us a call or send us a message and we'll sort it for you. We ask for at least 24 hours notice where possible so we can adjust the schedule accordingly.
Can I add extra time or tasks to my clean?
Yes, just let us know ahead of time if there's anything extra you'd like us to tackle — whether that's an oven clean, inside the fridge, or additional rooms. We'll confirm if any additional time or cost applies.
What happens if my cleaner is running late?
We'll always aim to be on time. If there's an unexpected delay, we'll contact you as soon as possible to let you know and give you an updated arrival time.
Can I leave instructions for my cleaner?
Absolutely. You can share any specific instructions or preferences when you book, or at any time by getting in touch with us directly. We'll make sure these are passed on to your cleaner.

Access & Keys

How does my cleaner access my property?
We're flexible. You can be home when we arrive, leave a key with a neighbour, use a key safe, or provide us with a spare key to hold securely. We'll discuss access arrangements before your first clean.
Is it safe to give Lumex a spare key?
Yes. All our staff are fully vetted and background checked before joining the team. Any keys held by Lumex are stored securely and are never labelled with your address. You can request your key back at any time.

Products & Equipment

Do I need to provide cleaning products?
We can bring our own professional-grade cleaning products, or use your preferred products if you'd rather. Just let us know when booking and we'll arrange accordingly.
Do you bring your own equipment such as a vacuum or mop?
We're happy to use equipment available at your property, or we can bring our own if preferred. We'll confirm this when arranging your clean so everything is ready on the day.

Pricing & Payments

How much does a clean cost?
Pricing depends on the size of your property, the type of clean required, and how often you'd like us to visit. Get in touch for a free, no-obligation quote and we'll give you a clear price upfront with no hidden fees.
When will I be charged?
We'll agree payment terms with you when setting up your clean. For regular clients we typically invoice on a weekly or monthly basis. We accept bank transfer and other payment methods — just ask.
Can I get an invoice for my records?
Yes, we can provide invoices for all cleans including VAT invoices where required. Just let us know your preference and we'll set that up for you.

If Things Don't Go to Plan

What if I'm not happy with my clean?
Your satisfaction is our priority. If something hasn't been done to your standard, please let us know as soon as possible and we'll arrange to put it right — at no extra cost to you.
What happens if something gets damaged during a clean?
Lumex Cleaning Services is fully insured. In the unlikely event that something is damaged during a clean, please contact us straight away and we'll handle it promptly and fairly.
What if my cleaner can't make it?
We'll always let you know as early as possible if there's an issue with your scheduled clean. Where we can, we'll arrange a suitable replacement so your clean still goes ahead as planned.
